Collateral Inspo & Plans

I'm so jazzed about collateral! I can't believe the end of the semester has approached so soon. Yesterday I spent the entire day preparing my pieces for Portfolio Review and it's so humbling and inspiring to see what changes have taken place over the last two semesters. I'm super pumped to finish this semester on a high note, which is why I want to push collateral as far as possible in the next two weeks.

My biggest project for this will be designing a bag.
I'm aiming for something along these lines:
It's adorable and such a sweet memento to carry on from a nice hotel. In concept, it would serve as the "soiled garments" bag that normally comes in hotel. Obviously from a price point, this would be less practical, but I think it's a meaningful souvenir and it would reduce so many plastic bags! Also, I think the ideal clientele for The Artmore wouldn't be opposed to paying a few dollars extra in their room fees for a well-designed keepsake.

I'd also like to dip into packaging design for the hotel amenities like shampoo, conditioner, soap and moisturizer.

I love the Nolitan! This is one of the hotels that influenced my logo. I love the classic style that is carried on throughout their brand. I think this approach could be successful in my brand as well.
Also, I love this little calendar to leave in the guests' rooms. I don't think I'll try to do this, since I recently included a list of events on my direct mailer I think it may be redundant. But if one of my other ideas doesn't pan out, this is definitely something to consider.

And this is probably not something that will happen due to time and construction restraints, but how cool is this!? It's a concept design I found on behance, meant as a "Sangria kit" for guests at The W hotel in Barcelona. It's set up upon their arrival but before they enter the room so it's still cold.

I also want to gravitate back to the Studio Bar & Cocktail Lounge that adjoins The Artmore a bit.
Hopefully this will include a new cocktail menu and coasters:

Malo' Cocktail Cafè on Behance
this menu is gorgeous! I love the way the differing styles of type are married so perfectly.

I also really enjoy the simplicity of this one. I love the vertical format and the straightforwardness.

In a totally different direction, this menu style is so bright and refreshing. I think something between this one and the one above would be a nice combination.

For the coasters, I think something creatively designed but also informative would be a fun direction:

I would like the coasters to carry on information on one side, describing mentioning something interesting about the most popular/ unique cocktails offered (like "medicinal" herbal digestifs allowed during Prohibition, whose credibility was verified by a nonexistent Swedish doctor...), and on the opposite side feature the company's logo. It would serve as an interesting conversation starter and hopefully entice them into buying more drinks!

And finally, I want to do a room service menu. It would hang on the hotel door in addition to the Do not Disturb/ Please clean room sign. The outside would have the Artmore's logo & a little bit of extra text, and opens up into a twofold breakfast menu. The left panel will list drink options and each guest would circle their preference. It's separated into coffee (drip/ latte/ cappucino/ espresso), hot tea, and fresh juices. On the right panel is the food options- eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, bagels.. as well as prefix options. It will also include the guest's preferred time for delivery and a spot to write special instructions for the kitchen in, such as allergies or modifications.

Big plans! SO pumped to knock this one out and to finish up improving my portfolio.
